Story

Project Blue is an action platformer, taking inspiration from classic 80's titles such as Super Mario Bros and Mega Man. The protagonist is Blue, a street urchin who has been kidnapped by a nefarious corporation as part of an experimental weapons research program. You must escape from your captors, traverse the world of post-apocalyptic Hong Kong, fight your way to the Omnicorp HQ, and finally, exact revenge!

The world of Project Blue is heavily influenced by cyberpunk fiction, featuring robotic enemies, cybernetic implants, evil corporations, ruined cityscapes, and more.

What the creators have to say about the game

When working on the gameplay of Project Blue, we tried to have the objects be as interactive and dynamic as possible. For example, trampolines will be encountered early in the game, but they aren't just for Blue to jump on - his enemies can use them too! In addition, Blue can push trampolines to relocate their position, they can be dragged by conveyor belts, and so on. Other objects that can be used by both Blue and his enemies include parachutes and flying propellers. This allows us to create environments that are interactive and immersive.

Project Blue has three difficulty modes - normal, hard and brutal. In addition, we will be including tools to allow users to create their own custom levels! We will be shipping the game with a modified version of the program we created for designing levels. With this program, players will have full control of the layout of the background, and placement of objects and enemies - either by editing existing levels, or by creating their own from scratch.

Compatibility

The cartridge works on both PAL and NTSC systems using a multi-region security chip.
The game will adjust itself so it plays (almost) the same on NTSC and PAL systems.
The game has been tested on an authentic Nintendo Entertainment System, "front loader" and "top loader".
The game should also work with the AVS from retroUSB.
We don't guarantee that the game will work on clone systems.
